Demi-Leigh Nel -Peters Reigns as Miss Universe

The 22 year -old Miss South Africa , Demi- Leigh Nel-Peters has been crowned Miss Universe. This is the ground breaking news that South African's woke up to in the early hours of Monday Morning.
Demi-Leigh Beat over 90 Contestants from all around the globe , as the title was contested in Las Vegas and Demi -leigh reigned supreme with her fiestiness and charisma .

During the Question and Answer session Steve Harvey asked Demi- Leigh , what quality in herself is she most proud of and how will she apply that quality to her time as Miss Universe , and Demi-leigh answered by saying "The best quality to have to become Miss Universe is , you need to be Confident as you are as a women and as an individual. A Miss Universe is a Women that has overcome many fears and by that she is able to help other women overcome their fears . She is a women that Nothing is ever too much to ask for and I think that is exactly who I am ".

After winning the Miss South Africa Title in March 2017 , Demi-Leigh was involved in a hijacking in Johannesburg but that did not dim her spotlight as now she has launched her Unbreakable campaign that sets to empower women by giving them the skills to defend themselves should they be caught in a life-threatening situation.
