A nationwide mourning erupted on Tuesday Morning as South Africans woke up to the passing of the father of South African Jazz Hugh Masekela.
Hugh Masekela was a legendary pioneer that soothed many African hearts with his music especially his well-known hit single "Stimela" from the album Hope. An album that resonated the country's democracy in 1994 under the new leadership of former president Nelson Mandela.
The jazz star died from prostate cancer with an official statement released by his family over his passing. Tributes with the #RIPHughMasekela poured on the popular social media network twitter , with popular celebrities sharing their special moments spent with the jazz star.
