Is this the Rebirth of the African National Congress

A Brilliant Campaign run by both Cyril Ramaphosa and Nkosazana-Dlamini Zuma  for the  54th  ANC Elective Conference . The anticipated 2017 ANC Elective Conference came to a glitch when the conference  encountered overnight delays over credentials and were only  adopted mid- Sunday afternoon, with the results set to be announced Monday morning.

Well that didn't help as,  South African's were agitated all day yesterday asking themselves who will be the new ANC president. Finally Monday Evening the Country came to a stand still  as Cyril Ramaphosa won the Presidential race with over 2440 votes and Nkosazana-Dlamini Zuma with 2261 votes,  a close call as it is just 179 votes difference, as Cyril Ramaphosa supporters chanted with joy after the announcement. This Announcement comes 2-years before the 2019 Elections , which saw the ANC in shambles over  the 2016 Municipal Elections.

With Cyril Ramaphosa as the new elected ANC president,  is this the rebirth of the political party? or is it too little to late for the party. As ANC veterans and ANC stalwarts believe that with Cyril in Leadership the ANC will combat all they have endured under the government of the former ANC president Jacob Zuma, and Unity will be fully restored within the Political Party ,but  that is not the tune that Former DA Leader - Hellen Zille is singing to, with a tweet posted by Hellen she believes a 50:50 divided ANC will not cut it for the party to win the 2019 Elections , as she believes the three cronies Cde David Mabuza, Cde Ace Magashule and  Cde Jessie Duarte are still on the payroll of Zuma.

Will the new ANC president Succeed in re-shaping the reputation of the political party , well there is not enough time on his hands as they is only 2 years left before the 2019 Elections.
